Quality control

Five checks before anything ships.

Five separate checks stand between raw fabric and a closed carton. Every piece is inspected by hand, and the record is kept with your order.

The protocol

The five stages

Every stage has a defined check and a defined reject. A piece that fails does not get repaired quietly and packed.

01 · Check
Raw material verificationEvery roll of twill, canvas, and thread is checked for colour consistency and tensile strength before it reaches the cutting table.
02 · Check
Embroidery precision checkWe monitor 3D puff height and stitch density as the heads run. A piece with a frayed edge or a misaligned logo comes off the machine.
03 · Check
Stitching integrity auditCrown structure and seam tape are checked here. Sweatbands are aligned to within a millimetre so the cap sits level on the head.
04 · Check
Piece-by-piece final inspectionEvery single cap is inspected by hand, trimmed, and steam-pressed before it goes to the packing line.
05 · Check
Export packing and label auditThe carton count is verified against the packing list and every shipping label is checked before the boxes are closed.

Packing

Packing and labelling

The carton count is verified against the packing list and every shipping label is checked before the boxes are closed. This is the stage that most often goes wrong in an export order, so it is a named step rather than an afterthought.

  • CartonsPlain export cartons with your shipping marks.
  • Individual packingPoly-bagged per piece, or bulk packed if your channel prefers it.
  • DocumentationPacking list and commercial invoice issued with the shipment.

Ask us how we handle rejects

We would rather answer this before you order than after. Ask during quotation and we will put the answer in writing, alongside what happens to a shortfall against the order quantity.

Questions

About inspection

How do you inspect finished caps?

Every lot goes through a piece-by-piece hand inspection before packing. We open cartons, examine pieces against the approved sample, and pull anything that does not meet spec. The inspection record is kept with your order and available on request.

Can we send our own inspector?

Yes. Third-party inspections are welcome, and we will schedule the line so the goods are ready when your inspector arrives.

Do you keep production records?

We photograph the run at cutting, embroidery, and packing, and we keep the inspection records for the order.

Need the inspection record for your order?

Tell us which market the goods are entering and we will tell you which inspection and labelling rules apply.
